Another State and Another Casino for the Little RV

Our first casino camping adventure worked out so well we decided to try it again. We left Wisconsin yesterday and stopped in Watersmeet, Michigan.  That means I get to stick a new sticker on our visited states map.  You know how excited I get about that.

We are camped at the Lac Vieux Desert Resort Casino.  I'm not sure where they got the desert part but I haven't seen one so far.  We have 30 amp electricity and water for $15 a night.  The sites are pull-through sites with grass between each site.

It has been raining quite a lot and everything is soggy and muddy.  We decided to go for a ride in our nice, dry truck just to get out of the RV for a while. We ended up finding a beautiful waterfall.
Bond Falls

The Bond Falls park has a walkway around the entire base of the falls and is accessible for those with mobility issues. It also has a mighty steep set of stairs to the top of the falls.

Tomorrow we will continue to move East across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

  1. I lived in Michigan for about a year awhile back and always wanted to spend some time in the Upper Peninsula but never had the chance. Those pictures of the falls are beautiful.

  2. We love the U.P. and plan to be in that part of the country next Aug/Sept. Enjoy the lush vegetation. Mackinac Island is a favorite of mine :-)

    1. We are loving the casinos. The one here in St. Ignace has 50 amp and water and is only $10 a night. It is in a great location for exploring the area. Enjoy next summer!
