The Little RV Celebrates 6 Months and goes to Spring Training

Yesterday was our 6-month anniversary as full-timers! As they say, time flies when you're having fun.

Roger Dean Stadium, Jupiter, Florida
Major League Baseball (MLB) is broken into two leagues for spring training.  There is the Cactus League in Arizona and the Grapefruit League here in Florida.  There are several teams who have their spring training facilities very near us.  Yesterday, together with some of Rob's family, we went to Jupiter, FL to watch a game between the Marlins and the Cardinals
We met Sue (Rob's Mom), Lesa (Rob's sister) and her husband John and son Joseph at the game.  Their daughter Kristen (almost 16) was needed elsewhere and sadly did not come along.  Both the Marlins and the Cardinals use Roger Dean Stadium for their home games.

It was a beautiful day, partly cloudy and about 72 degrees.  The stadium is very small and easy to navigate so it is great for people who have mobility issues.  There isn't a bad seat in the place and there were just over 4,000 fans in attendance.  Rob brought his camera and monster lens and took dozens of photos.  Since we were in the front row of our section he was able to use the rail as a rest for the lens.  That's the rail in the photo above.

Here's a shot of Sue making her feelings known about having her photo taken.

Joseph was able to run down to the benches where all of the Marlins were sitting and get a ton of autographs on the brim of his Marlins hat.
Joey getting a Marlins autograph
Marlins pausing for the National Anthem (note the Hawaiian shirt on the staff)
Cardinals at bat
By the way, the Cardinals won.  We all had a great time and I'd love to go again.
