Making Escape Plans in the Little RV

This morning the temperature is 3.  Yes folks, that's 3 degrees. The little RV has a voracious appetite for propane when we have to use the heat but when it's cold like this it's ridiculous!  The weatherman just announced that this is the coldest morning since early 2011. Well of course it is.

I mentioned a couple of days ago that we are hoping to head for warmer weather very soon.  There are things that have to be accomplished first.  First and foremost, we have to get Rob well.  He seems to have come down with a cold or something and the steady improvement he has enjoyed since he was released from the hospital has come to a screeching halt.

Our repairs are still not complete.  We are waiting for partsThey are promised to arrive by the end of this week but will have to be installed.  We are hoping that will fix our problem with non functioning fresh, gray and black water tank level indicators.

We also have to get the snow and ice off the top of the little RV so we can check the tire pressure, and torque the lug nuts.  I'm working on things like laundry, properly storing things and just general getting ready to go stuff.

On a lighter note, over the past few weeks I have started crocheting again.  I've made many hats and several pair of boot cuffsIt seems now that I'm OLDER, I have the patience to try new patterns and rip out rows and rows of work when the project is not turning out right.
These are newborn size.
A set for mommy and Amelia
Yesterday I made a bird hat for Amelia.
I love the way it turned out.  Hopefully I can get a picture of her wearing it before we head out.

Our granddaughter is turning 1 in just a few days and we will still be here to help her celebrate.  It is certainly a bonus to have that opportunity.
